JW Fishers UA-2 Underwater Altimeter

The JW Fishers UA-2 underwater altimeter enhances the accuracy and effectiveness of underwater searches and surveys. It provides a cost-effective method for measuring the distance between a towed body and the ocean floor, ensuring precise altitudes above the bottom. This prevents missing targets due to equipment being towed too high or being damaged from towing too close to the bottom.

Accurate Depth Readings

The UA-2 offers accurate distance measurements displayed on a digital LCD, updated three times per second. The large LCD readout shows depth in 1-foot increments from 1 to 199 feet, with a switch to display in meters or feet.

Avoid Unnecessary Accidents

Eliminate the need to calculate distances using chart information, cable lengths, and towing speeds. The UA-2 provides real-time distance measurements, reducing the risk of accidents.

Audible Alarm Settings

An adjustable audio alarm alerts operators if equipment is towed below a preset distance. The UA-2 features a large, easy-to-read LCD display, audio alarm, and adaptability to any towed body.

A Full Featured Underwater Altimeter

The system includes a transducer for the tow body, a 150-foot tow cable, and a topside control unit, powered by a 12-volt battery. Options include cable lengths up to 1000 feet and output to a computer.
