Copperhead ViperMagâ„¢ Complete Utility Locating System Application Overview:
The Copperhead ViperMag Complete Utility Locating System is a general-purpose locator that detects both buried pipe and cable. Perfect for locating buried gas, water, sewer, and telecom lines, the ViperMag can also detect ferrous metal objects such as valve box covers and buried tanks.
The ViperMag features a one-watt transmitter that applies a locate frequency either by induction or direct connection. It offers advanced filtering to reject foreign objects such as aluminum cans and bottle caps and manual gain control that allows it to be used near large metal objects like cars and metal fences. The ViperMag is sensitive enough to work not only through dirt, but through concrete, asphalt, and even snow.
