The Fisher XLT-30 is a liquid leak detector that locates and pinpoints the audio sound of leaks in pipes. The XLT-30 C model features the Fisher Multi Sensor which is made to be used indoors to locate leaks behind walls and other surfaces. Be sure to read our Guide entitled Fisher XLT 30 Liquid Leak Detectors Comparison
Fisher's reliable Littlefoot is an ultra sensitive ground microphone about the size of a computers "mouse". Excellent for leak locating on interior walls and surfaces. The Hydrophonic Probe works outstanding when direct contact can be made.
The XLT-30-C features advanced electronic amplification and filtering, a tactile keypad, an easy to read digital display and a notch feature which allows independent suppression of outside interfering noise. You can detect leaks easily with the Water Leak Detector. This model can detect leaks at hydrants, meter pits, valves, and underground. This unit detects and pinpoints liquid leaks in pipes. A notch filter system reduces external noise. It is designed for ultra-low amplifier noise for amplifying leak responses. It has a peak hold function that appears on the LCD bar graph for comparison of sound levels. It automatically limits the system to enhance weak noise sources for easy listening in the field through the included crystal clear audio headphones for easy listening in the field. In addition to a tactile keypad, this unit has a digital display which is backlit for use in low light conditions. It ships in a heavy duty carrying case for protection in the field and during transport.
It has increased response for poor sound conductors such as pvc pipe or non metallic pipe. Sensors are shielded from outside noises to reduce interference with your searches. A battery test and monitoring system is built into the device. This model has a wide variety of optional compatible ultra sensitive sound microphones. You can select from the following options based on the package you select: Hydrophonic Probe, Sound Rods, Multi Sensor Microphone and the Big Foot Microphone, Multi-Sensor Microphone, Little Foot Microphone.
|Leasable with Katapult||Yes|
Approximate Weight
The approximate weight of the detector when fully assembled.
Audio Identification
Circuitry producing different audio tones for each target’s conductivity range, i.e., low tone for nickel, high tone for coins.
Battery Requirements
The type and amount of batteries used to operate the detector.
2 - 9 Volt
Battery Indicator
An indicator to show the user how much battery life is left.
The company that produces the detector.
Fisher Labs Industrial
Built-In Flashlight
An on-board flashlight.
Search Coil Size
The size and dimensions of the search coil
The country where the detector is made
Ground Balance
A feature available on many detectors that allows the device to filter out signals from minerals in the ground, while accepting signals from actual targets.
Preset Ground Balance
Headphone Jack Size
The size of the headphone jack
Holster Included
Holsters are typically included with Pin Pointers
Includes Bonus Items
Bonus items are shown pictured with the device on the product page are included with this product
The overall length of the model when fully assembled
Operating Mode
Operating modes would include, but are not limited to, discriminate mode and all-metal mode
Operating Frequency
The frequency at which the detector operates.
Circuitry Type
The type of circuitry the detector uses. Typically, you will see VLF (Very Low Frequency) detectors, and PI (Pulse Induction) detectors.
|Search Coil Shape||Round|
Sensitivity Adjustment
This adjustment affects how sensitive the detector is to targets, and ultimately how deep they will be able to be detected.
Vibrating Alert
A vibration feature that allows users to feel targets being detected.
Visual Identification
A visual target ID that allows the user to determine the composition of the target being detected before digging. Typically, a visual target ID is a numerical display based off the conductivity of the target being detected.
The amount of time the manufacturer will cover any broken parts or malfunctioning electronics.
Water Resistance
The degree to which the detector is resistant to water. Weatherproof implies that the detector is resistant to splashing and rain. Waterproof implies the detector is fully submerisble. (All models will offer waterproof search coils.)
